btw: I'm using &lt;a href="http://www.archlinux.org" rel="nofollow"&gt;archlinux&lt;/a&gt;+win2k(just in case of emergencies) on my thinkpad and win2k only on my desktop machine since i never had the time and endurance to install+configure linux on it :/

		<description>Since I don't like to mix my system with Windows programmes (which Guild Wars obviously is) I don't really care about it. And if Windows crashes again - who cares. At least my system is not affected. And this is as good as it gets ;)

Anyway, the [wine site](http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=2243) states that GW+wine is running on Ubuntu, Gentoo and SUSE so if you use any of those distributions try it out. You should check out the issues of what does not work before, though.
